Go with what Dakota Red said, go and make the shunning their problem. Any power or control they have is only what you give them and nothing more. Besides, they're the ones in the cult and have the problem, not you. Go and see the power you have to make them uncomfortable just by showing them how happy you are.

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been away for a few weeks. You may remember seeing a post from me talking about apendixes and then I disappeared for a while. Long story short, my appendix was about to pop (thank dad it didn't), I got it taken out, came home from the hospital a few days later, and then the area where the surgeon cut me open got very, very, very infected. I could go into more gorey details but some of you may be eating so I won't make you toss your cookies by telling you about it. I'm pretty much fine now, except for a case of strep throat which I'm getting over as well. Not only have I been laid low by illness but I also have had to be on the road for business purposes as well. Driving over 1,400 miles over 4 days (hey, I didn't just drive straight there and turn around) with a two year and strep throat old isn't fun. On the bright side, if everything goes the way I think it did I may be living on the beach in SC in a few months.
Also, I'd like to send a special thank you out to Bill Bowen and give an example of how great of a guy he really is. I had talked with Bill about possibly doing some work on his website not too long ago. He called while I was in the hospital and again a few days after I had gotten out but I was sleeping then. I emailed him telling him what was going on and that I did want to talk to him but because of health reasons wasn't up to doing much anything like that for a while. His amazing response? He offered for him and his wife to drive a couple of hours from Kentucky to come and help take care of me. Its not enough that he does the work to pay the bills for his family, all the Silent Lambs stuff, and support all the people who contact him, but on top of all that when he heard that I was sick he offered his services to come up and take care of someone who he had never even met in real life. For those of you who haven't been able to tell what kind of a guy he really is, there's proof that he is all that he seems and more. Thanks Bill and I'll be calling you a little later today to talk about your site.

Appendixes suck

humans (and those of us who used to be human) have the most idiotic body part ever imagined called an appendix.
you can be going along just like everything is normal and next thing you know you're being wheeled off to the operating room to have your appendix taken out.

You can be going along just like everything is normal and next thing you know you're being wheeled off to the operating room to have your appendix taken out. Not only that but it happens on the Friday before Labor Day effectively throwing off your entire weekend because you have to stay hooked up to an IV and pee in a cup because you can't walk to the bathroom. Since it will take you a while to recover once you're out of the hospital you'll have to cancel your roadtrip to the beach next weekend because you won't feel like driving 15 hours or having salt water get in your wound. To those of you who have had the wonderful experience of having your appendix go bad how long was it until you were back to normal?
Sorry for venting but my pain killer is wearing off a bit. On the bright side I haven't thrown up in a few hours.................

I agree with happy. All of us who have offered you any advice Sarah its only because we don't want one more person to go through the hell that almost all of us have. Nobody is telling you anything to be mean or rude and we are attempting to look after your best interests.
Take it from a group of us who have been there. We just don't want anyone else to have to do it all over again.

gwen and i went to two meetings (3 actually, but that extra one was a mistake in timing, speach council point 99, i got a "w" on that one.
we got the two disfellowshipping parts mentioned from the august km on tape.

My idea: everyone loves pics, so why not have some really small pics of the pages (which download quick) then when you click on the pages, it will load the basic text which is automatically obtained through OCR software which coverts the pic into straight text.
That's actually a really good idea. I know Macromedia Dreamweaver has a built in utility to do this for you automatically. If you need any help in getting a copy of that say so and I'll email you.
